Pixrat - Bookmark and Tag Photos from the Web

By neeraj at Wed, 2006-04-26 03:33 | Technology | Web 2.0

Indian companies are finally breaking into the Web 2.0 party. The latest to join
the bandwagon is Pixrat - which is a kind of del.icio.us for photos.

The functionality is pretty similar to del.icio.us, although they also support personal bookmarks. There is also a popular page, which ranks most bookmarked images. They differ from flickr in the sense that they won't host your photos, but will just bookmark photos which are already online.

Reservations

By Manusha (not verified) on Mon, 2006-05-15 23:04

Off late there is a lot of hue and cry about reservations in Pvt sector and premier institutions which is very unfortunate. First of all reserved categories are treated as seperate species which is not correct. Everybody has got the same kind of brain and some were neglected and ostracised by the society, which is also being continued by mentally ostracising them by denying these categories in to Main stream life. Infact there are lot of so called reserved categories of people working in Pvt sectors and their contributions are invaluable, but they dont come out and witness to the world that the `once upon a time` neglected categories have bounced back due to availability of better opportunities/environment.

To put a stop to all these rumblings on reservations we shd start with reverse system i.e. reserve few seats to those who have perpetuated social ostracism for ages and open the rest of the system to the balance whole society!!!!.
