Is this the beginning of change ?

By neeraj at Wed, 2006-01-25 08:52 | General | Politics | Lok Paritran

Five IIT geeks have come together to form a political party - called 'Paritrana'

The core team of "Paritrana" comprises Rajpurohit , Shukla, Amit Beesen, also the vice president and a B Tech (Mechanical) from IIT Bombay and a LLB graduate, Chandrashekhar (national treasurer), B Tech (computer science) from IIT Kanpur, Bharat Sundaram, the PRO of the party and B Tech from IIT Kanpur and PhD in electronics from Melbourne.

"Paritrana means complete relief from the various causes of distress, and that is what we want to do for our people", added Chandrashekhar. Low funds have not discouraged them in their efforts of holding door-to-door campaigns in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and parts of Maharashtra

Way to go geeks.

This is really great news

By ramesh on Thu, 2006-01-26 08:32

This is really great news and a real antidote to the issues plaguing India. Politics is the only means of enforcing change for the betterment of this country, given the huge scale of problems that India faces. With good and able people in politics will come great policies and better execution which will really help in developing India more.

I really wish well to this young individuals. Hope they succeed in their venture and pave the way for other brilliant people of our country to follow. Infact even if they dont succeed they need be congratulated for taking the step and showing the way.

From Paritana's website: "Paritrana) is the complete relief implying the end of the very cause of distress."...hope these guys succeed in their venture....although I think it will be very difficult for these young minds to survive in the dirty world of India politics, but their efforts need to be praised and taken cognition of. We should also support them as much as we can.

kudos to these young chaps for an initiative much required in this land which is ruled by pathetic people like laloo and jayalalitha.
We need these young brains to run this country and help it come out of the mess created by the current breed of inept and corrupt politicians.

Paritrana

By Sekhar (not verified) on Tue, 2006-01-31 06:42

It is a courageous step for young men to take especially in one of the dirtiest political environments in the world. Their demographic target should be college students the length and breadth of India. Old folk traditionally vote with their hearts; indigent folk vote with their stomach; young folk are prepared to buck tradition and vote with their heads. The working yuppies will not require much persuasion to fall in line with Paritrana. The idea is to use college students to mobilise people and also mobilise funds from the masses.

All of the very best Paritrana!

We Need Reforms!

By Darnish (not verified) on Fri, 2006-02-17 20:58

Msg to all concerned with the TRUE INDIA;
India is not a bad place, we have made it bad we're to be blamed.
Im a 19 yr old writing this mail, i have gotten admission in a UOL college in Singapore. As a true Indian, my dream is to give India all knowledge Abundant from world over,to pay back what india has given me.

We make the country whatever it is, We are its youth and we supply nutirents for it to grow, remember when u brobe a policeman for not hving a liscence or a peon to get ur docs. thru.
WE ARE INJECTING POISON IN OUR SYSTEM
I'd like to discuss more, but Webspace , is a valuable resource too.
To cut it short, We need to hv reforms rather than a new PARTY.
The more political diversions we create, more difficult is the unity,
See the Amr. Democracy for example: Two Choices, Two Candidates, One CLEAR WINNER, end of story!
No ambiguity, no gliches, no conspiracy.
However, im more than impressed that IITians are looking at The welfare of India, else IITian if the yesteryears were the ones who gave their entire lives..working in US or EU
This is an indication, now we need to influx bright minds of India, that have scattered all over the globe, and unite them.
PLs feel free to mail me: if this sounds interesting, darnishsingh@hotmail.com

We are the Culprits!

By darnishsingh on Sun, 2006-02-19 18:51

Aren't we hippocrates? well i'll have to yes( atleast for me)

we're at the brink of transcending into being a developed nation, we have the best schools of managemnt and technology, a heritage unparalleled by any other, yet why

o why are there 30 million of us staying below the poverty line?

I've taken part in many debates and elocutions, but never discussed my MIND out becoz no platform was serious enough.

However this site looks more than impressive, ironic I came to know about it after travelling abroad for my BS.

What is lacking? We have an entire system running, we have transport, IT, agrilculture, resources, brains, integrity and Aptitude!

Something oughta be wrong somewhere.

Else, why is there a major unemployment issue in a country full of YOUTH. Our average population age is extremely good too.

There is a Glitch! a Bug as we programmers call it.

Generally, when a system crashes, the problem often is small! It is no minuscle that it often goes neglected, unnoticed.

We might always want to be poltically correct and socially warm. Doesnt that make us hippocrates.

Lets face it..we're fighting for a piece of land with a neighbour country who has similar cultural background like ours.

People....59 years back, we were ONE NATION

We broke into other smaller parts, becoz others could break us. We're very docile, emotionally...its in our nature. We got fooled enough.

The easiest path/solution is that we Transform ourselves, and the Youth of India may have ONLY ONE VOICE...no factors, no ifs , no buts.

Once we have found ourself, it wont be very difficult t ooverthrow any sort of Anarchy of Corruption

Personally, I beleive that we are blessed with the best politicians all over the map from kashmir to kanyakumari, gujrath to assam. Flaw is in their interconnectivity.

If this Youth can bridge the gaps, I dont think, theres any other nation in the world, that can beat the UNITY of a RESILIENT, EDUCATED and CULTURED WORKFORCE.

This is my first contribution for this site, hope its worth a few thought.

-Darnish.
