this is amazing .. we seriously need to promote more and more such activites .. i guess this is something that even the industry can promote and provide patronage too .. if our machinery majors like HMT, Tata etc. take an active interest in such initiatives and provide technical know how then rural india can become a breeding ground of innovations

i guess a lot of these innovations could be recycled for urban usage also .. like the amphbious cycle could be a big hit amongst tourists in the numerous lakes on india.

Thanks for your kind comments. I'm hoping that such things will inspire young engineers/designers to come together informally or even formally in an association or group and support these activities. If SSI's can pick up such technology there is a lot of potential to develop and sell such products in other developing nations such as in Africa and the SAARC and ASEAN region.

Just one remark - Niti is a girl's name in India, the closest masculine equivalent "Nitin" has an entirely different Sanskrit meaning. :)
