And it’s not only the airports; the scale of infrastructure development in China makes India's progress on the same look like a bad joke.

China vs India

This is the downside of democracy. Nowhere in the world has democracy been so abused as in India. The bane of Indian society is its politicians. They are utterly selfish in their way of life - at the expense of more than a billion people! China is a dictatorship; from being a vindictive dictatorship they're changing their colours to being a benevolent dictatorship. For many decades India has had the capacity and technology to build world-class infrastructure; but alas we've had to contend with what we call 'lack of political will' - a convenient euphemism for utter selfishness of the politicians. Amazingly, we still still vote this class of sub-human species into power!
