From the site:

indiamarks.com: beyond just social bookmarking

By Vaibhav Domkundwar - indiamarks.com (not verified) on Wed, 2006-05-10 05:58

We just launched indiamarks a few weeks back and what you are seeing is an early version. Right now, there is not much differentiation in functionality than delicious, but we have a number of features coming in the next several weeks.

On a broader perspective the idea is that social bookmarking is beneficial when an specific community bookmarks and shares interesting links. For example: delicious pretty much has the early adopter tech-savvy community and most of the links you discover are technology and design centric. If say, a doctor goes to delicious she might not find it as useful. However, if there was a medical social bookmarking site this doctor user will benefit a lot more. delicious can do this as well, but it may be tough to achieve.

indiamarks focuses on building a indian community centric social bookmarking service, and we will be evolving into some new directions as you’ll see with some upcoming features.

Thanks for the post and you can stay tuned to some of the new developments on our blog: http://blog.indiagoes.com.

PS: Btw, it seems like everytime someone posts about indiamarks.com, some "anonymous" person seems to be posting about indiagram. Seems fishy :)
